Giving Tuesday is a day of giving around the globe, when everyone everywhere can do something to support the good causes that mean so much to those in need. At Garmon we are involved with a number of local good causes in the Carolinas.
Today we wanted to spotlight and call out a few of these amazing organizations and praise the great work they do for our community.
YMCA
YMCA Charlotte strengthens the community, working to make sure that everyone has the opportunity to learn and grow. The Y Readers scheme helps educate whilst having fun thanks to the great work of the Y Readers teachers and volunteers.

Purple Heart Homes
Purple Heart Home delivers programs to fit the specific needs of Veterans, including Aging In Place and Veterans Home Ownership Programs. Providing home ownership opportunities to younger Veterans is another great initiative! We’re happy to support this great cause.

Camp Blue Skies
Camp Blue Skies helps to enhance the lives of adults with developmental disabilities, through recreation. The aim of the camps is to build social and life skills. This is such an important cause because the support available for persons with intellectual disabilities drops off dramatically beyond the age of 21.

Blumenthal Performing Arts
Blumenthal inspires more than 150,000 students to participate in student-focused programs annually. This ranges from internships to specially priced show tickets, and awards to celebrate excellence in local high school musical theater.

Arts Plus
Arts+ help students develop their artistic skills and potential, to gain the irreplaceable benefits of an arts education.

Youth Villages
Youth Villages improve the lives of children across the country with programs designed to help preserve and restore families. Advocating for positive change in child welfare, and children’s mental health systems is a cause worth getting behind.
Beds for Kids
Beds for Kids have delivered over 15,000 beds to children and families so far and by the end of the year another 2,021 children will have a bed to call their own. Each bed can change the life of the child who receives it.
Pancreatic Cancer Action Network
Pancreatic Cancer Action Network’s mission is to take bold action to improve the lives of everyone impacted by pancreatic cancer by advancing scientific research, building community, sharing knowledge, and advocating for patients.
We hope you all have a great Giving Tuesday and can get behind some of the amazing causes and charities in Charlotte that we are so happy to support in our own small way.
Great content! Keep up the good work!
