As of December 2018, Garmon & Company has diverted 2,695,884 lbs. of carpet from landfills.

We help people make the environmentally conscious part of the process when disposing of old carpets and selecting new materials for their refurbishment. Since starting our Reclamation Program, we have diverted over 2.5 million pounds of carpet from hitting landfills! If that sounds impressive, you should be excited – because you can be a part of the process as well.

If you want to throw away of your old vinyl-backed carpet in an environmentally responsible way just give us a call. Our partners have a special process of recycling vinyl and making it into a completely new backing for carpet tiles. They recycle most fibers in a closed loop process which gives us a bright new fiber from an old, rugged carpet.

Other partners use materials from the carpet recycling process to create new consumer products or convert them into energy. You can rest assured that no carpet sent to Garmon & Company will end up in a landfill, so you can safely put your conscience in our hands.

We will provide you with a proposal without any hidden costs, as well as a reclamation plan with an outline of the process. We conduct the removal of the carpet and provide appropriate equipment for removal – Garmon & Company will also arrange transport to the reclamation center.

Not only that, but you’ll also get a certificate verifying the carpet reclamation, which states exactly how many pounds of material you helped divert from the landfill! Once we’ve removed your carpet, you can specify the new environmentally conscious floor coverings, and generate LEED points on your project.

If, for whatever reason, we can’t handle the removal and the packaging of your carpet, we’ll facilitate the reclamation process by receiving properly packaged material. In these cases, we’ll apply specific fees unique to each situation.
